Warm Home Discount Scheme

What is a Warm Home Discount?

For winter 2015-2016, you could be eligible to receive £140 off your electricity bill, thanks to the Warm Home discount scheme. The money won’t be paid to you, it will be a one-off discount on your electricity bill, generally issued between September-March. You can qualify for the discount whether you use a pre-pay or pay-as-you-go meter. Your provider will tell you how to get the discount- for example, you could be issued with a voucher.

You will be able to get the discount if on the 12th July 2015, all of the following apply:

  • Your electricity supplier took part in the scheme banking
  • Your name (or your partner’s) was on the bill
