Legal Aid Agency Contact Number

The Legal Aid Agency has just under 2000 staff members and is based in London. However, they offer Legal Aid to anyone in England and Wales. The Agency is responsible for funding the Civil Legal Advice Service and works to improve legal aid casework. Civil Legal Advice Helpline

You can also get advice from the Civil Legal Advice Helpline, which is directly funded by the Legal Aid Agency. You can be eligible for funding if you’re a victim of domestic abuse, separating from an abusive partner, or you are being discriminated against in the workplace. You can check if you’re eligible for aid on the government website before calling the number above, which will put you through to a member of the CLA, who can help you further.

Complaints

You can complain about the level of service you have received from both the CLA and the Legal Aid Agency by calling the number above. Complaints are usually dealt with within 20 days of submission, and complaints will only be accepted if they are about a member of staff. Complaints about your own solicitor will not be accepted.
